What a gorgeous day.
We spent the night at Jan Moss’s place in Portland.
Slept in a little- the girls got rolling at around 10.
I did ride support for T and Jan for their ride down to Champoeg. It was great- it was like a mini-caravan with race radios, flashers and a car full of supplies and goodies. I was happy just following and not riding for the day.
The route took us mostly on ride #17 (Canby Ferry) from the “Rubber to the Road, Vol 2- 30 more rides around Portland” by Otis Rubottom, with deviations to Pete’s Mountain and Champoeg. This gave me some ideas for riding later this year- maybe a group Salem-Portland-Salem ride or a Portland-Salem-Portland ride.
We ran into a bunch of Bridgetown riders but the route was filled with mostly recreational riders. (which in my book is awesome- more riders=more racers)
Now it’s time to hang out and enjoy the river.

We should coordinate both a portland salem portland, and a salem ptown salem ride thesame day, that way we could have a rendevouz and good times, and lots of miles!
