In Oregon, this weekend we had the Eugene Roubaix, the DVRTT and the final Estacada TT. It was a beautiful weekend for racing- the Roubaix proved itself, again, to be one of the best courses in the NW. For the Cat 3 men results (I’ll find out the number of starters for each field later), they don’t show that there were more than 30 starters. That means about half didn’t finish. The gravel section was not easy- the group always drilled it single file along two tracks then hit the nasty cramp inducing hills. 4 guys got off early from the teams that had more than 1 or 2 riders. The gap ballooned to 4 minutes but we pulled all but 2 back (we were within 100 meters) in about 1.5 laps. Congrats to Spencer Bushnell, TAI and Wes Stephens, PBWOL.

Heidi’s reviews winter weather gear.

Martha reports on the DRVTT and mentions that she heard the words “yee haw” from Mick. If you know Mick, that’s pretty damn funny.

Larssyn reports on her first crit.

Dave posts an update on Ironclad- includes pics of what happens to your elbow when it gets broken.

Marcroft reports that he was “cookied” on the Cookie Monster ride yesterday.

BicycleDesign has an interesting post on the gearing for the Brasstown TGA stage. (Also has other neat TGA articles too)

Ian Boswell reports that his condition has finally been diagnosed.

Erik is getting dizzy from riding too much. He thinks it’s dehydration- I think it’s CCX disease.
