It was a packed field today in the senior men’s race. The roster included such heavyweights (not really “heavy”, but you get the gist) as

Barry Wicks- Kona
Erik Tonkin- Team S+M

Temperatures were perfect as the peloton got moving, but by the afternoon temps had increased dramatically. A break with all the big names got off early, putting some big time into the field. In the end it was Evan Elken taking the win with Doug taking 2nd and Ryan taking 3rd.

Some notable results include Quinn Keogh, starting the season as a 3, taking 7th behind Olson, Hamilton and Wicks. Also showing the young boys how to race were Steve Holland age 48 taking 10th, David Zimbelman age 53 taking 11th and Michael Rosenberg age 47 in 15th. Rounding out the top ten include Chris Hamilton in 5th, Barry Wicks in 6th, Andrew Fischer in 8th, Aaron Sander in 9th.
In the Women’s races, K-Man got to kiss all the podium finishers for the Master’s 30-39. Whoot! Unfortunately, no one took pictures. A protest was filed by Jan Moss as I didn’t kiss the Master’s 40-49 women, but only Jan had asked and the others hadn’t.
